Searching for photonovelas
Enter search terms in the search box and/or select a category, and click “search”. All photonovelas meeting the search criteria will be displayed, in rows of three. Click "next" to see more rows.
Viewing photonovelas
Click on a photonovela from the home page. Use the “next” button at the top right to go to the next page, and the “back” button at the top left to go back to the previous page. It may take a few seconds to display each new page.
Creating your own photonovelas
Create your photonovela by adding text balloons to images.

Resampling photonovelas
Images greater than 400 dpi or 24 Mpixels will cause the uploader to fail, and will have to be manually resampled before uploading using software such as PhotoFiltre, Irfanview and GIMP. Typical screen resolution is only 72 dpi or about 1 Mpixel, so more than 400 dpi is not useful for screen viewing.
Uploading your own photonovelas
Click the “upload” button on the top right of the home page. Follow the step-by-step instructions on the upload page.
Verifying and posting your photonovela
Step 1: When the upload is successful, you will receive an email with the subject “verify your photonovela contribution”. Click this link and a preview of the first page of your photonovela contribution will be displayed in your browser.
Step 2: Click the red “activate” button to verify that you wish this photonovela to be displayed on the site. Otherwise, click “delete”.
Deleting a photonovela
Step 1: Click on the link of any old verification email. You will see your previously uploaded photonovela and the “delete” and “activate” buttons.
Step 2: Scroll to the bottom of this page and you will see a list of all previously uploaded photonovelas.
Step 3: Click on any title in the list, and the first page will display. Delete this photonovela by clicking the “delete” button.
If you did not save any old verification emails, then you will have to upload a file to get a new verification email, and then follow steps 2 and 3 above.
